I entered the correct account information, including 2-step verification number, so maybe that feature doesn't work with Google Mail anymore (which would be a bit ironic -)). I keep getting this cryptic error message: I tried several times, but for some reason I never got it to work. Since I also have a GMail account, I tried that, too. I sent the message, to myself, and it worked as advertised. This time, Picasa generated an e-mail message that included the photo I'd selected as an attachment. It generated an e-mail message, with the proper caption, but there was no photo included with the message. That option doesn't appear to work right in recent versions of Outlook. I selected Outlook as the program to use, then checked the box at the bottom that says "Send inline photos and captions (Outlook only)." I use Outlook (the desktop app, not the Web version) for my default e-mail program, and Outlook appears as the second choice under "E-mail program". simple download, or download with replacement. Then you are provided with two options, i.e. Set the album folder in which you want to download the files. Just enter the UserId, and select the album name to be downloaded. I've never used this feature of Picasa, so just for fun I decided to try it just now. Picasa Album Downloader is a simple tool to download images from Picasa Web Album. Somehow Picasa knows what email software I use.
